Judge Rules Tiger Woods Must Turn Over His Prescription Records to Prosecutors
"The golfer was questioned if he took any prescription medicines and responded, I take a few, according to the report. Police found two white pills inside Woods's pants pocket that were later determined to be hydrocodone, a prescription opioid for severe pain. In 2021, Woods was seriously injured in a car accident in California that left him hospitalized for multiple major leg injuries. Police said that single-car accident was attributed to excessive speed."
Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover car crash near his Jupiter Island, Florida home on March 27. His black Range Rover struck another vehicle near a sharp curve after traveling at a high rate of speed above the 30 mph limit. Police reported no serious injuries. Officers administered roadside sobriety tests and conducted a breathalyzer test that showed no alcohol, while other impairment signs were observed. Woods was arrested and charged with driving under the influence with property damage and failure to submit to testing after he refused a urine test. Officers reported severe impairment indicators and found two white pills later identified as hydrocodone. A judge ruled prosecutors may obtain Woods’s prescription drug records, which will remain sealed for now.
