"PA Media A Metropolitan Police officer has been cleared of two counts of misconduct in public office after standing trial accused of sharing CCTV images from two rape cases. It was alleged that PC Adam Aspinall Da Encarnacao, 33, shared images of 37-year-old Natalie Shotter, who was raped and killed in Southall in July 2021, and footage related to an unidentified woman who was raped in an alleyway in December 2021."
"The officer was cleared at Southwark Crown Court on Monday. He had pleaded not guilty to the charges in August 2024. PC Aspinall Da Encarnacao, from Buckinghamshire, was suspended from police duty following his arrest in 2022, and this suspension remains in place, the Met Police said. PC Adam Aspinall Da Encarnacao, 33, faced trial accused of sharing CCTV images from two separate 2021 rape cases. One set of images allegedly involved 37-year-old Natalie Shotter, who was raped and later killed in Southall in July 2021. The other footage related to an unidentified woman who was raped in an alleyway in December 2021. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in August 2024. A jury at Southwark Crown Court cleared him of two counts of misconduct in public office. He was arrested in 2022 and has remained suspended from duty.
