Ruben Amorim became Manchester United manager in November 2024 and won the Premier League manager of the month award for October, his first such accolade. United were earlier knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two Grimsby Town in August. The team drew with Nottingham Forest on 1 November and sat eighth in the league. Forward Bryan Mbeumo won player of the month after three goals and an assist.
