Manchester United extended an unbeaten start to the Women's Super League with a 3-2 win at Brighton, their fifth victory of the campaign. The win left the club within striking distance of league leaders Chelsea and Manchester City. Right-back Hannah Blundell made her first appearance in over a year following the birth of her daughter Romi, coming on as a substitute for a half-hour cameo. The appearance came 533 days after her previous game and made her the first United player in the professional era to return to play after giving birth. Blundell had joined from Chelsea in 2021 and featured regularly in earlier seasons.
