Manchester United formally part ways with Sir Dave Brailsford
"Nevin was already announced as a director when Ineos took their stake in United in 2024. United's corporate entity is split between Manchester United Football Club Limited, which is registered in England and Wales - that's what shows on Companies House - and the ultimate parent company, Manchester United plc, which is registered on the Cayman Islands and trades on the New York Stock Exchange."
Sir Dave Brailsford has formally departed from Manchester United’s board of directors. His departure follows his arrival with Sir Jim Ratcliffe after Ineos’ partial takeover in 2024. Brailsford stepped back from day-to-day duties last summer to focus on overseeing Ineos’ Tour de France campaign. His termination as a company director was recorded with Companies House, with termination dated April 30 and posting dated May 7. Manchester United simultaneously confirmed the appointment of Rob Nevin as a director effective May 5. Nevin had already been announced as a director when Ineos took its stake. Brailsford had been linked to appointing Dan Ashworth as sporting director and to overseeing a £50m revamp of the Carrington training ground.
