Kelvin Evans pleaded guilty in an Atlanta court to charges tied to a July 2025 car robbery. Two suitcases containing hard drives with watermarked Beyonce music, unreleased tracks, show footage plans, and set lists were stolen from a rental vehicle. The theft also included clothing, designer sunglasses, laptops, and AirPods headphones. Beyonce choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue reported the theft to 911. Police used tracking information from the AirPods and located a vehicle matching the movement of the device signals. Evans was arrested weeks later and publicly named as a suspect. He accepted a five-year sentence and will serve two years in custody, with probation conditions requiring avoidance of the theft location and no contact with the victim.
