Kacey Musgraves has chosen the Gámez-Cuéllar brothers, aged 12 to 18, to open her Texas shows. The brothers were detained by ICE after their family sought asylum in 2023. They were released in March following public outcry. Antonio and Caleb are part of the award-winning Mariachi Oro band, with Antonio recognized as Texas's top mariachi trumpet player. Musgraves aims to highlight Mexican culture and mariachi music in her upcoming album, Middle of Nowhere, set to release on May 1st.
