Texans lose starting S Stewart for rest of season
"Stewart's injury occurred during the second quarter of the Texans' 36-29 comeback win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. On a rush attempt from Jaguars running back Travis Etienne, wideout Tim Patrick blocked Stewart when the Texans safety wasn't prepared, which knocked him to the ground. Stewart immediately favored his left leg. The Texans medical cart came out shortly after and put his leg in a cast before placing him on the cart."

The injury happened when Tim Patrick blocked Stewart on a Travis Etienne rush, knocking him to the ground; Stewart favored his left leg and was placed in a cast before leaving on a medical cart. Coach DeMeco Ryans said Stewart had been playing very well and that the team will miss him. With Jalen Pitre out with a concussion, cornerback Myles Bryant was called up from the practice squad to replace Stewart, and Tremon Smith entered in nickel packages. Stewart became starter after C.J. Gardner-Johnson's release, and the defense ranked first in scoring defense (15.1) entering Week 10.
