Patrick Brady, 42, suffered a medical episode and went into cardiac arrest while on the roof during an all-hands fire response in Brownsville, Brooklyn. He was transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center and ultimately died. Brady joined the FDNY on July 14, 2014, and served with Ladder 120 since 2022. He came from a family of firefighters that includes two brothers, Jimmy and Brian, along with cousins and uncles who also serve. Brady is survived by his wife, Cara. The loss prompted expressions of sorrow and praise for his dedication and sacrifice.
