"The victim was on a Manhattan-bound Q train rumbling into the Church Ave. subway stop in Flatbush at around 6:30 a.m. when another commuter confronted him. The suspect pulled out a sharp object and slashed the victim in the face, cops said. Wounded and bleeding, the victim got off the train at Church Ave. and alerted police. EMS rushed him to Kings County Hospital, where he was treated for a minor wound."
"On Oct. 17, Justice Jackson, an emotionally disturbed homeless man with an extensive criminal history was arrested for allegedly knifing a 51-year-old man in the back during an argument on a Manhattan rush-hour subway train. Jackson, 30, was apprehended the next day after he was identified as the assailant in the D train attack. Attacks on city subways have jumped by 2% this year and over 10% within the last month, according to recent NYPD statistics."
