According to law enforcement sources, the suspect confronted the 35-year-old victim and began arguing with him on board the train at the 190th Street subway station in Washington Heights on April 30 at around 4:10 a.m. Police could not confirm what the pair argued about, but said the war of words escalated to violence when the suspect punched the victim multiple times in the face before stabbing him in the left forearm with an unknown sharp object."
"Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. Authorities said the victim suffered bruising and swelling to his face and a minor laceration to his arm. EMS took him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition. On Tuesday, the NYPD released surveillance photos and video of the suspect, who remains at large."
"He is described as having a medium complexion and being around 40 to 50 years old, standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie sweater, black pants, black and white sneakers, gray hat and donning a black fanny pack. Surveillance photo of the suspect who allegedly assaulted a man on an A train."
