How to Remove a Web Page from Google
"The need to remove URLs from Google is urgent when a site is (i) hacked with malware or illicit content while indexed (even ranking) or (ii) inadvertently exposes private information that the search giant then indexes. The quickest way to hide URLs from searchers is via Google's URL removal tool in the "Indexing" section of Search Console. There, you can remove a single URL or an entire category. Google processes these requests quickly in my experience, but it doesn't permanently deindex them."
"Deleting a page from your web server will permanently deindex it. After deleting, set up a 410 HTTP status code of "gone" instead of 404 "not found." Allow a few days for Google to recrawl the site, discover the 410 code, and remove the page from its index. Note that Google discourages the use of redirects to remove low-value pages, as the practice sends poor signals to the successor."
Urgent removal is required when indexed pages are hacked with malware or illicit content or when private information is inadvertently exposed. Google's Search Console URL removal tool can temporarily hide a single URL or entire category from search results for about six months. Bing Webmaster Tools Block URLs hides pages for about 90 days. Permanent removal options include deleting the page and returning a 410 Gone status to prompt deindexing, avoiding redirects for low-value pages. Google provides a form for removing personal information. Adding a noindex meta tag prevents indexing while keeping the page accessible via links.
