Portland Community College celebrated the renovation of its Health Technology Building at the Sylvania Campus. The renovation, funded through 2018 and 2017–2022 ballot bond measures, updated instructional and support spaces for nursing, medical imaging and radiography, physical education, and exercise science. The project also refreshed the student commons and added new fitness areas for academic programs and community education. A data centers story prompted the Oregon Legislature to introduce a one-year moratorium on tax breaks starting in June. Before the moratorium, Hillsboro is extending incentives for big tech companies through additional deals. Downtown PSU’s farmers market runs year-round, while neighborhood markets are reopening, including King Market and Shemanski Park, with more expected in June.
