Contacts and meetings have occurred between Upamecano's agents and multiple clubs, including Real Madrid, English clubs and Paris Saint-Germain. Bayern Munich continue to push for a contract extension and have held recent meetings with the player's agents. Bayern are involving coach Vincent Kompany in efforts to convince Upamecano to stay. Real Madrid intend to sign a defender next summer and have alternative options such as Ibrahima Konaté, but nothing with Upamecano is agreed yet.
