Edition Hotels Will Open a Resort on Italy's Lake Como With a Floating Pool, a Longevity Spa, and a Private Dock-Here's a First Look Inside
"Opening in March 2026, The Lake Como Edition will take over a 19th-century palazzo in the lakeside town of Cadenabbia. The building retains some of its original features, such as its cream-and-clay exterior and vaulted ceilings, while the interiors, envisioned by Edition Hotels' creative directors, Kirstin Bailey and Paul Haslhofer, along with Shanghai-based design studio Neri & Hu, will reflect the brand's signature contemporary ethos."
"Guests will enter through a cantilevered teakwood portico framed by a vertical garden of wisteria and climbing roses. Inside, the light-filled public spaces will feature marble archways, terrazzo floors, and a sculptural staircase. Antique mirrors and tapestries will mix with modern art, while floor-to-ceiling glass walls will reveal sweeping views of the water. The hotel will have 148 guest rooms, including 25 suites and two penthouses."
"Rooms are designed with custom walnut furnishings, hand-tufted rugs in lake-inspired tones, and Calacatta marble detailing. Lake view rooms will also come with original restored French balconies. Mauro Colagreco, the chef behind the Michelin three-starred restaurant Mirazur in Menton, France, will oversee the dining program. Signature restaurant Cetino will spotlight seasonal, sustainable ingredients in contemporary dishes. Renzo, the all-day terrace eatery, will channel Italian hospitality and family-style dining."
