SF Giants reportedly set to bring Bruce Bochy back to help their new manager
"I'm looking forward to getting back to the Bay,"
"And of course, I'm looking forward to getting back with the San Francisco Giants, seeing familiar faces and hopefully bring value any way I can."
"We haven't announced it yet, but having Bochy back in the fold is something we plan on, having him as an advisor like [former Giants manager Dusty Baker]. We're working on that right now,"
Bruce Bochy confirmed contact with Giants president of baseball operations Buster Posey and plans to return to the organization in an advisory capacity. Giants owner Greg Johnson indicated plans to bring Bochy back as an advisor similar to Dusty Baker. Bochy won three World Series titles with San Francisco and helped develop players such as Posey, Brandon Crawford, Tim Lincecum and Madison Bumgarner. Bochy returned to manage the Texas Rangers and won a World Series in 2023 before parting ways after the 2025 season. Bochy formed a close bond with Posey and will assist new manager Tony Vitello in navigating professional baseball.
