""I love California, and I prefer lower taxes, but whatever they decide to ask me to pay, I'll pay," Huang said. Huang kept his answers lighthearted, even making a tongue-in-cheek wish that part of his tax payment would go to something he really cared about. "I would love that they would apply $10,000 of the taxes that I paid to fix that one pothole on 101. ... If they let me, I'll do it myself," he said with a laugh."
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said California’s proposed billionaire tax is fine and that he never considered it. He framed payment as a way of giving back and reiterated his support for California’s role in the tech industry. While some wealthy peers have moved businesses or assets to avoid the proposed tax, Huang remained committed to the state. He joked about tax loopholes and laughed when asked to name people who use them. Asked about an estimated $8 billion tax bill, he said he would do fact checking on the number. He also said he loves California and prefers lower taxes, but would pay whatever the state asks. He suggested his payment could go toward fixing a pothole on 101.
