Bayern Munich buy ex-Bundesliga stadium for women's team DW 12/18/2025
"The acquisition of Sportpark Unterhaching is another milestone in the overall development of our FC Bayern Women,"
"The new sporting home of our women's team will meet UEFA requirements and also satisfy spectator demand in the future."
"We're very proud to have found a new home here,"
Bayern Munich will purchase Sportpark Unterhaching and take ownership on January 1, 2026 through a subsidiary that operates the Allianz Arena. The deal is reported at an initial 7.5 million euros plus renovation costs to be carried out over the next few years. The move increases matchday capacity from the 2,500-seat Bayern Campus Arena to the 15,000-capacity Unterhaching stadium. The acquisition includes three training pitches and a clubhouse with a restaurant and beer garden. The club plans to play all Champions League home games at Unterhaching starting next season. Growth in women's football and high spectator demand influenced the decision.
