At Liverpool FC's trophy parade she was struck when Paul Doyle's Ford Galaxy drove into more than 130 people, fracturing her right knee. She clung to the bonnet while her daughter tried to rescue her, then fell and was dragged clear moments before the vehicle accelerated into other fans. Bilonozhenko spent nine days in hospital undergoing surgery with metal plates and screws, experienced months of confinement, and continues to suffer chronic pain, restricted mobility and severe psychological trauma. Doyle received a 21-year, six-month prison sentence.
