Ginger Johnson, the drag persona of Donald Marshall, is a finalist in the 2025 Celebrity MasterChef, competing against Dawn O'Porter, Alfie Boe and Alun Wyn Jones. Judges Grace Dent and John Torode challenge the finalists to create a dish dedicated to someone special. Marshall is from County Durham, was inspired to become a pantomime dame by comedian Chris Hayward and studied at Newcastle University. Ginger built a reputation in the London LGBTQ+ nightlife scene before appearing on and winning the fifth season of Drag Race UK, notable for a Barbara Cartland impersonation in Snatch Game. Post-win, Ginger created Ginger's House, performed at Soho Theatre and toured the UK.
