"Peel police are seeking the public's help to identify a man in a suspected hate-motivated assault in Mississauga. A woman was attacked by an unknown man while walking along Mississauga Valley Boulevard on Dec. 3 around 3:30 p.m., Peel Regional Police said in a news release. The man, without provocation, allegedly yelled at the woman, forcibly removed her hijab and jacket hood, and pushed her to the ground before fleeing into a nearby wooded area, said police."
"The woman was not physically injured in the incident. The suspect is described as a tall man with a heavy build and was seen wearing a black hoodie with other dark clothes. Police are requesting residents be cautious while walking alone and to report any suspicious behaviour. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers."
