Gunnersbury Station has made a small step toward step-free access but significant work remains. Elizabeth line frequency will increase to every three minutes through the core on Saturdays. London Northwestern Railway will add thousands of extra seats to Euston services under a timetable change. Overground changes could enable more Welwyn Garden City trains, and a new concession aims for 18 trains per hour through the core by 2027. Capacity pressures are causing crowding on several commuter routes.
