"A woman who was stabbed in the neck in Birmingham has died of her injuries, police have said. The 34-year-old was taken to hospital with a serious injury to her neck after she was stabbed on Smallbrook Queensway shortly before 9pm on Friday but has since died in hospital, West Midlands police have said. Djeison Rafael, 21, who was charged with attempted murder, was expected to appear at Birmingham magistrates court on Monday morning."

The 34-year-old woman suffered a serious neck injury after being stabbed on Smallbrook Queensway shortly before 9pm on Friday and later died in hospital. Djeison Rafael, 21, was charged with attempted murder and was expected to appear at Birmingham magistrates court on Monday morning. Police sought information about Rafael's movements, describing him as wearing an all-grey tracksuit, black hat, trainers and carrying a rucksack, and asked witnesses to call 101 quoting log 5503 of 7 November or use the major incident public portal.
