Northern Ireland Education Minister Paul Givan faces a no-confidence motion after using departmental resources to share images from a visit to a school in Jerusalem. The motion was proposed by Gerry Carroll of People Before Profit and is backed by Sinn Féin, Alliance and the SDLP, but it will fail because it lacks required cross-community support. The DUP, UUP and TUV refuse to back the motion and called it "performative". Teaching unions criticised the use of departmental material and asked for a related press release to be removed. The SDLP is also tabling reforms to ministerial accountability.
