The carmaker shut all wholly owned factories from 1 September for more than a month after cyber-attackers compromised key systems. Parliament's business committee chair asked the business secretary whether any money reached JLR and whether aid was requested. JLR restarted limited production in early October and is ramping output toward full production by early December. Suppliers laid off thousands, many operate on 60-day payment terms, and trade groups urged accelerated financial support.
