"That's the epitome of our offense,"
"It's a collective effort and everybody just doing their job."
"I've faced him before plenty of times. He's obviously dominated me,"
"It's one of those guys where you've got to get your best swing off and whatever happens, happens."
Addison Barger launched the first pinch-hit grand slam in World Series history as the Toronto Blue Jays routed the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-4 in Game 1. Toronto produced a nine-run sixth inning that included Alejandro Kirk's two-run homer and Ernie Clement's tiebreaking single. Daulton Varsho started the comeback with a two-run drive in the fourth off Blake Snell. Shohei Ohtani hit a two-run homer in the seventh for Los Angeles. Fans chanted at Ohtani in the ninth. The Fall Classic returned to Toronto for the first time since 1993. Game 2 is scheduled at Rogers Centre Saturday.
