"Six Flags is giving one of its oldest licensing agreements a facelift at a California property. On Tuesday, the company announced the transformation of Bugs Bunny World at Six Flags Magic Mountain into Looney Tunes Land, scheduled to open in summer 2026. The goal of the refresh is "to evoke the warm, nostalgic feelings of the Chuck Jones era of Looney Tunes," the park said in a news release."
"At the time, the Marriott corporation was in a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. to use Looney Tunes characters at Great America parks in Gurnee, Illinois, and Santa Clara, California. "The new Looney Tunes Land will be a continuation of our mutually successful partnership with Warner Bros. that began more than 40 years ago and will continue to celebrate the characters of their beloved franchise," Raffi Kaprelyan, senior vice president and West Coast regional general manager for Six Flags, said in a news release."
"The new makeover splits Looney Tunes Land into four distinct zones: Bugs Bunny Play Park, Camp Duck Amuck, Road Runner Ridge and Taz-Mania. Although Looney Tunes Land will lose two roller coasters and two kids rides overall, the makeover includes two new play areas and the retheming of five rides, according to the Orange County Register. Six Flags fans on Reddit seem to agree the area is in much need of a refresh."
