"I'm just focused on my recovery and I just want to thank the first responders. ... But I'm focused on my recovery, and I just want to see my wife, I want to see my son, my two baby girls,"
"There'll be a day to answer all these questions, and unfortunately, today is not that day."
An Indianapolis judge confirmed Dec. 11 as the trial date for Mark Sanchez, who faces criminal charges stemming from an Oct. 4 altercation outside the Westin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. Prosecutors allege Sanchez attacked and seriously injured a truck driver during a dispute over a parking place. Sanchez sustained a stab wound to the chest in the confrontation and spent a week hospitalized. The prosecutor filed a felony battery charge involving serious bodily injury and three misdemeanor counts, including public intoxication. The truck driver asserts self-defense, has not been charged, and is suing Sanchez and Fox Sports for unspecified damages. Sanchez remains off the air while recovering, and his recovery may affect the court schedule.
