NCAA informed Jacksonville State it could hire former Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt as an analyst. Pruitt received a six-year show-cause order after an NCAA infractions ruling in 2023. He will coach for the first time since his firing at Tennessee in January 2021. The analyst role will not include interacting with recruits and will limit interaction with players. Pruitt served a year-long suspension from coaching in games. Part of the original penalty barred off-campus recruiting during his first year back. Tennessee faced 18 Level I alleged violations tied to about $60,000 in impermissible benefits. The show-cause order expires July 2029.
