The Epstein Files Transparency Act requires the Department of Justice to publish all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials related to Jeffrey Epstein by Friday, December 19. The disclosure is expected to include digital evidence such as emails and photos, DOJ-created documents and communications tied to the investigation and prosecution, and files held by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and U.S. Attorneys' Offices. The required release extends beyond case files to materials relating to Ghislaine Maxwell, flight logs and travel records, individuals and entities connected to Epstein's networks, immunity or other deals, and files related to his detention and death. The DOJ can withhold certain information under applicable exemptions.
