""The Harvard Salient continues to operate under its legitimate editorial leadership until further notice.""
The Harvard Salient, an independent student-run conservative publication, was suspended by its board of directors pending an investigation and review after the board said the magazine published content "wholly inimical to the conservative principles for which the magazine stands" and received complaints about its culture. Editor-in-Chief Richard Y. Rodgers described the suspension as an "unauthorized usurpation of power by a small number of individuals acting outside the bounds of their authority" and asserted that the magazine will continue to operate under its editorial leadership. The board consists of six alumni and four professors as ex-officio members.
