Indiana state senators rejected a mid-decade congressional redistricting bill that aimed to redraw maps to favor Republicans. President Donald Trump warned on Truth Social that anyone opposing the plan would face MAGA primary challenges. Governor Mike Braun pledged to work with the president to target Republicans who joined Democrats in defeating the measure and said such decisions carry political consequences. A Community Note flagged Braun’s description of dissent as a “small group,” noting that 21 of 40 GOP senators opposed the bill.
