FBI interviewed six Democratic lawmakers after they released a video urging members of the armed services and intelligence community to refuse illegal orders. Sen. Lisa Murkowski defended Sen. Mark Kelly, a retired Navy captain and astronaut, and criticized the Department of Defense and FBI for investigating the lawmakers. The Department of Defense is considering court-martial proceedings against Kelly. The other lawmakers in the video include Sen. Elissa Slotkin, Rep. Jason Crow, Chris Deluzio, Maggie Goodlander, and Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, all veterans of the armed forces or the CIA. President Donald Trump denounced the lawmakers on Truth Social and reposted calls for violence, prompting threats and round-the-clock protection for at least one lawmaker.
