"Although located next to Shenzhen Central Park, the campus is separated from it by surrounding high-rise residential towers, which form a barrier between the park and the school. The project therefore began with a fundamental question: how can nature be brought back into the everyday life of the campus?"
"In terms of its relationship with nature, the site presents a striking contradiction. Although located next to Shenzhen Central Park, the campus is separated from it by surrounding high-rise residential towers, which form a barrier between the park and the school."
The campus sits beside Shenzhen Central Park but is separated from it by surrounding high-rise residential towers. These towers create a barrier that limits direct access to the park’s natural environment. The project starts from a core question about restoring nature within everyday campus life. The design focus centers on reconnecting students and daily activities with natural elements despite the urban obstruction. The site’s contradiction between proximity to nature and physical separation drives the overall approach. The goal is to overcome the concrete-forest condition and reintroduce nature into the campus experience.
