Halo Infinite Will No Longer Get Updates As It Enters Maintenance Mode
"Operation: Infinite will launch on November 18 and will be the last major update that Halo Infinite receives. "With multiple Halo titles in development, we'll need our whole team's combined focus to deliver new experiences with the same passion and care that our community has given us," reads the announcement on Halo Waypoint. "While we remain committed to supporting Halo Infinite on the road ahead, Operation: Infinite is the last major content update currently planned.""
"The final update will add "2X boosts on Career Rank and SP, 100-tier Operation Pass, eight earnable armor sets, new Ranked Seasons, and 200 never-before-released customizations arriving in The Exchange." After the update releases, the game will remain playable, but no new content will be released. Challenges will continue to rotate in and out, and ranked season will keep going. But that's it. No new seasons, no new updates, no new maps. Nothing."
Halo Infinite will cease receiving any major updates on November 18 and will enter maintenance mode when Operation: Infinite launches. Operation: Infinite will be the last major content update currently planned. The final update adds 2X boosts on Career Rank and SP, a 100-tier Operation Pass, eight earnable armor sets, new Ranked Seasons, and 200 previously unreleased customizations arriving in The Exchange. After release the game will remain playable, but no new seasons, maps, or major updates will be produced. Challenges will continue to rotate and ranked seasons will continue. The Halo Studios team will shift focus to other in-development Halo titles including Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Halo is expanding to PlayStation.
