Brandon Duhaime donned a werewolf costume and a fake machete, hid inside an oversized box, and jumpscared Washington Capitals players as they arrived at the rink. The prank elicited frightened reactions from several teammates and laughter from head coach Spencer Carbery. An extended video showed Duhaime trying to include Carbery among the victims and highlighted Martin Fehervary's near non-reaction. Carbery commented on the variety of human reactions and noted that teammates would likely retaliate. At least one player responded by adding a name tag to Duhaime's helmet, while further revenge plans remain unclear.
