Habits de Lumiere light festival in Epernay - The Good Life France
"For most of the year, Épernay's Avenue du Champagne, one of the most famous thoroughfares in the world, is an elegant, and rather serene street. Don't worry, there's still plenty of Champagne tasting, but there's also music, an extraordinary street light show, pop up Champagne and food stalls, fireworks and shows, a parade and cooking contests."

Épernay's Avenue du Champagne is normally an elegant, serene avenue hosting major Champagne houses and public cellar tours. Once a year the Habits de Lumière turns the avenue into a three-day festival combining Champagne tastings with music, street light shows, pop-up Champagne and food stalls, fireworks, parades and cooking contests. The festival is easy to reach by train from Paris and offers distinct programming each day: Saturday focuses on gastronomy with chef and winegrower pairings, workshops and cellar tours; Sunday features a parade of vintage cars. Friday and Saturday nights showcase vibrant light projections and illuminated art alongside street bars and crowds promenading the mile-long avenue.
