"Going against the grain of a traditional residence, Casa Toca emerges from a diverse program that includes domestic spaces, an art studio, a music studio, and areas for gatherings reflecting the lifestyle of its residents, architect Tito Ficarelli and visual artist Luiza Gottschalk, who are also responsible for the design. This is the third home conceived and built by the couple for different stages of their life together."
Casa Toca occupies an area of 350 m and was completed in 2022. The project integrates domestic living with dedicated art and music studios and flexible gathering spaces that reflect the residents' creative lifestyle. Lead architects are Tito Ficarelli and Chantal Ficarelli, with timber engineering by Crosslam and construction by Domeng Engenharia. Photographs were made by Fran Parente. Manufacturers involved include Braston, Cebrace, Coral Tintas, Crosslam, Docol, Gerdau, IKO, Tigre and Votorantim. External wall panel and granite floor work was carried out by Luiza Gottschalk. The house represents the third residence conceived and built by the couple for different life stages.
