The Lodge at Pebble Beach unveils renovated Stillwater at reopening
""Today's the culmination of nine months, thousands of hours of very hard work," said Pebble Beach Company CEO David Stivers. "We're very proud of what this team was able to accomplish. We hope that you are going to enjoy your time with us today and that you'll come to us many times in the future.""
""For more than a century The Lodge main building has been the heartbeat of Pebble Beach resort," said Stivers. "This building was first opened in 1919 and at the time was called the Del Monte Lodge. It encompassed a couple of restaurants and ten guest rooms. So over the course of that last 100 years, it's amazing how far this building and resort has progressed.""
A reception celebrated the reopening of The Lodge at Pebble Beach main building following a nine-month renovation. Renovations transformed main floor restaurants, meeting rooms, kitchens, and support areas, and expanded overall dining capacity by more than 20 percent. The project introduced Stillwater as the property's premiere restaurant and updated The Tap Room, The Bench, and other interior spaces. The bar in Stillwater was repositioned to the center of the room to provide an expanded view of the ocean and the 18th green. The Lodge now offers about 160 guest rooms and five dining areas, reflecting over a century of resort evolution since the Del Monte Lodge opened in 1919.
