Former President Trump's legal team has filed a motion arguing that special counsel Jack Smith should be held in contempt of court for violating the stay order in the federal 2020 election case.
Trump's lawyers have asked Judge Tanya Chutkan to release an order explaining why prosecutors should not be held in contempt and barred from submitting future filings. [ more ]
