Apple has updated its developer guidelines to allow U.S-based developers to link out to the web and inform users about alternative subscription options without using in-app purchases.
Developers will still have to pay a 27% cut to Apple if they use links to direct users to other digital purchase options, but developers in Apple's Small Business Program or with auto-renewing subscriptions for a second year will pay a reduced fee of 12%. [ more ]
