General Motors ended 2023 as the number one automaker in the US, selling 2.6 million new vehicles, with a 14.1% increase from 2022.

BYD sold three million battery-powered cars in 2023, a 62% increase over 2022, despite heavy competition and a price war in the Chinese EV industry.
