Duane Taylor, 50, entered the Reading, Pa. home of his ex-girlfriend in the early hours of Aug. 31, 2022, abducted the girl, and took her to his Brooklyn apartment, prosecutors said. The victim's mother told investigators that she had last seen her daughter around 10:30 p.m. before going to bed. When she woke up on the morning of Aug. 31, she realized the back door of the home was wide open. Police also found that the door's chain lock was broken.

A teacher at Shepherd Hill Regional High School in Dudley is facing child endangerment charges after he was arrested Friday, according to Taunton police. Thomas Wilson, 37, of Southbridge, was charged with reckless sexual endangerment of a child, enticement of a child under the age of 16, and possession of child pornography, Taunton police said in a statement. The charges came following an investigation of an alleged Sept. 18 incident.

OAKLAND - Within the past seven months, a local resident has been convicted of possessing child pornography, charged with having it again, convinced a judge to throw out the new charges, then been arrested and charged once again, court records show. BRENTWOOD A Brentwood man has been sentenced to 8 1/2 years in federal prison for receiving child pornography and possessing an unregistered short-barreled rifle, authorities said. U.S. District Judge Haywood S. Gilliam Jr., handed 44-year-old Michael Patterson 103 months behind bars, after Patterson pleaded guilty to the crimes in May, according to a statement from U.S. Attorney Craig Missakian of the Northern District of California.
