ColorOS 16 will roll out globally starting in November for recent Oppo devices; China gets it on October 30, older devices receive updates later.
Oppo announced ColorOS 16 today with an updated visual look, improved performance and plenty of new features and revamped system apps. It is set to debut on the Oppo Find X9 series tomorrow while also gradually making its way to older Oppo devices in the coming months. The new update brings seamless system animations which deliver instant app launches and interactions with apps, menus and widgets. Animations are triggered at the point of touch and return smoothly when dismissed for a faster feeling UI.
An open beta program has seemingly started, but you can't just get in. Instead, you need to pass an eligibility quiz. You reach this by going to Settings > System & update > Software Update then hitting the three dots and choosing Beta Program. This should work if you have a OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 13s, OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, Oppo Find X8, or Oppo Find X8 Pro.
