Tottenham forward Jess Naz has been added to the England squad for the friendlies with Brazil and Australia after Jess Park withdrew because of injury. Midfielder Park, 24, pulled out after suffering delayed concussion following Manchester United's 4-1 win at Everton in the Women's Super League on 12 October. The Football Association said Park "experienced some symptoms" during the graded return-to-play assessment and will continue her rehabilitation with United.
In the early portion of the fourth quarter, quarterback C.J. Stroud threw a back-shoulder pass on the sidelines to Collins with Seahawks cornerback Josh Jobe in coverage. The Pro Bowl wideout leaped up for the pass but couldn't secure the catch while falling to the ground, and his head struck the turf. Collins gingerly got up with medical assistance and entered the medical blue tent for further evaluation before being ruled out for the remainder of the game.
The Indianapolis Colts have placed their top cornerback Charvarius Ward on injured reserve, sidelining him for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers and at least the next three contests. Ward sustained his second concussion of the season after a violent collision with tight end Drew Ogletree during pregame warmups for the Colts' Week 6 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Ward was down for a sustained period before regaining his faculties and being helped off the field.
INDIANAPOLIS -- Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will not return to Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts with a concussion. Harrison left the game with 6:59 left in the second quarter after the back of his head hit the turf following a 21-yard catch. He sat on the ground for a few moments and then went to the sideline. Trainers led him to the blue injury tent, where he was initially evaluated for a concussion.
New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields has a concussion and has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head coach Aaron Glenn announced Wednesday. Fields was placed into the league's concussion protocol after he was hit during the second half of Gang Green's Week 2 blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills. Rolling out of the pocket, the back of Fields' head bounced off the turf after being taken down by Joey Bosa.
