Campaigners have urged airlines deporting asylum seekers to France as part of the UK's controversial one in, one out scheme to stop facilitating the cruel and forced deportations. Letters have been sent by 28 refugee and human rights NGOs on both sides of the Channel to four airlines believed to be involved with deportation flights Air France, Titan airways, AlbaStar airlines and Corendon airlines urging them to halt what signatories call shameful involvement with the flights.
A federal judge has once again reined in the Trump administration by ordering, for the second time, that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) allow members of Congress to conduct unannounced visits to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention centers. The decision, issued Monday by District Court Judge Jia M. Cobb, temporarily blocks the requirement to give seven days' notice to inspect these facilities and reinforces the legislature's right to oversee the conditions in which thousands of people are held in federal custody.

Deaths occurring in the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) have reached at least 16 since January amid increasing mass detention across the country and growing concerns over conditions.
