Arguably the Microsoft crown jewel franchise, Halo, is coming to PlayStation for the first time. It's true that the sci-fi series has seen better days and may no longer be Microsoft's top-performing franchise, but Halo is basically synonymous with Xbox, and now it's making the jump to PlayStation in a development that would have shocked anyone reading this years ago.
Luckily, right now, you can grab the console for as low as $374 directly through the PlayStation storefront with the code PS5KLARNA - and it doesn't appear as though you need to use Klarna's payment service to get the discount. The code works with the PS5 Digital Edition and the PS5 Slim with 1TB of storage, bringing the prices down to $374 and $424.99, respectively.
After racking up impressive reviews following its release in July, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is finally getting its first big discount. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers - Day One Edition on PS5 and Xbox Series X is on sale for just $40 (was $50), making this the lowest price we've seen for the action game yet. Along with the game, this version comes with a DLC voucher for additional content.
If your PlayStation 5 has started feeling sluggish, freezes mid-game or acts a little weird, clearing the cache might be the quick fix you need. The cache is where your console stores temporary files to keep things running smoothly, but sometimes those files pile up and cause more problems than they solve. Clearing your PS5 cache won't delete your games, saves or settings, but it can clear out the junk data that's slowing things down.
A new firmware update--Version: 25.06-12.02.00--for the PlayStation 5 console has gone live, and unsurprisingly, it doesn't do much. What this new update does is improve the security on your device, but don't expect to see any new major features added to your PS5 once it has been installed. "We've made some security fixes to the system software," reads the very succinct update notes.
This guide explains how to enable Console Sharing and Offline Play on your PS5, along with tips to manage your account and avoid common issues. After all, sharing is caring, and this can be a great way for your squad at home to experience a stack of games at no extra cost, while claiming all the trophies (and the glory) for their own profiles.
Sony has announced that its new power-saving feature will launch tomorrow (Sept 17) as part of a bigger PS5 update, and has also revealed which games will support it. In case you don't remember, this new feature is designed to deliberately reduce your console's performance in games to help reduce its total power consumption. It has been in the beta tasting phase but is now being rolled out to everyone.
