The Foundation for Rural Service has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to over 900 students since its establishment in 1994, demonstrating a long-term commitment to supporting education in rural America.
The study frames each of the models as 'emerging strategies' that can either complement or serve as alternatives to well-known sustainability certification schemes such as Organic, Fairtrade or Rainforest Alliance.
