City Market of Los Angeles sued a tenant for about $340,000 in unpaid rent amid ongoing redevelopment and related ownership and leasing disputes.
Mickey Rourke has been served with a notice ordering him to either settle overdue rent or face eviction from his home in Los Angeles. After failing to make monthly payments, totally nearly $60,000, the 73-year-old actor was served a three-day notice on Dec. 18 to pay the money he owes or vacate his Beverly Grove rental, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The store was at the center of the mini-scandal that ultimately forced Alcaraz to resign seven days into her tenure, after the woman who took over the store from Alcaraz in April, Julia Baran, went to the media with evidence that the 29-year-old Alcaraz had mismanaged the store, and had apparently paid employees under the table to evade taxes.
