The Hershey Bears are hosting their biggest regular-season game of the year this afternoon at Giant Center. The team will host its 25th Teddy Bear Toss, aiming to break its ice hockey world record of 102,343 set last season. The team accomplished the feat on January 5, 2025, against the Providence Bruins when Mike Sgarbossa scored Hershey's Teddy Bear Toss goal at 14:45 of the first period, starting the sweet cuddly mayhem.
Breckenridge Distillery set a new record for the world's longest shot ski on Thursday, marking the 13th time the distillery has claimed the title. The lineup included 1,420 participants, 507 skis, and stretched 2,489 feet along Main Street in Breckenridge, Colorado. The record attempt opened the 62nd annual Ullr Fest, the town's long-running winter celebration honoring Ullr, the Norse god of snow.

The train is an ex-District line train that has been converted to run on battery power, and has been running trials to see if that would be a viable way of replacing polluting diesel trains on branch lines where full electrification of the railway is not viable. Although aimed at shorter branch lines, the old tube train had enough battery power for much longer trips, such as between Reading and Paddington.
